My family and I took my mom out to dinner here recently. It's been a while since I've been to OKC and I've always liked Penn Square. So, after a day of shopping we decided to just eat in the mall at Pepperoni Grill. Kevin was our server and he was awesome. Very friendly and attentive and we were not lacking for anything. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and with it being a weeknight we did not have to worry about a wait or a crowd. I had the eggplant parm which I loved along with a glass of chardonnay. My meal was very satisfying partly due to the warm fuzzies the wine gave me. I don't remember what my kids had, but they enjoyed their food as well. However, my mom and hubby felt their food was just eh. They both ordered lasagna and said it was missing something. Other than that, our experience here was great. Next time we're in the OKC area we may stop in again.

One of my favorite things I like about this eatery is the complimentary cheese bread. It's so yummy. And the oils you dip them in really bring out the flavor. I didn't know I was much of a bread fanatic until now. You can go there and get FULL off a complimentary dish! Their salads and pizzas are delicious and the waiters always make sure that you get your drink and bread refills. Most of the time the staff was perfect but then again you do find the waiters whom spend more time talking to each other than paying attention to their customers, then again, isn't that with every restraunt? There is a business-casual, decent but not too upscale tone of this restraunt.

Great fettucini alfredo! The risotto is also delicious. So is the Mediterranean Salad and the Chicken caesar. Come to think of it...everything I've ever gotten here has been very good! Service has also been very good.

The best part about Pepperoni Grill is their bread. The worst part about Pepperoni Grill is that it is in the mall. The food is mediocre in my opinion and I've never been blown away by the food. I would definitely never make a special trip for this restaurant. On my most recent visit to Pepperoni Grill, I ordered the warm Mediterranean salad and it was decent but it looked a lot better than it tasted and there is just something terribly wrong about warm lettuce. If I had noticed that the menu had the words 'lettuce' and 'warm' together, I probably would have made another decision for my entree. I had a bite of my daughter's cheese pizza and it was also mediocre. I tried my mom's caesar salad and it was actually quite fantastic. Aside from the bread, it was my favorite part of the meal. The service was alright but it's always kind of annoying when your plate is taken before you're finished with it and it is frustrating when you have to wait a while for your check. Basically, this is one of very few restaurants in Penn Square Mall; there aren't many choices. I would probably choose, however, to go elsewhere, just because Pepperoni Grill isn't that great.

I think this is a nice place to eat at the mall without feeling like you're in a mall. It's a nice break from typical mall food and I think the bread and oil brought out first thing is reason enough to stop by. I have always enjoyed their salads and my son likes the kids' food.

The new clamari dish is so good. The calamari are tender, the fried lemon and artichoke add citrus, the dressing is a little sweet, salty and tangy and the fried wontons add crunch. I'm a very happy girl! I rated only four starts because my cup of garlic cream soup was a little thin but still had good flavor. The bread is awesome and wine perfectly chilled.

After reading Dian W's review yesterday, I realized I had not been to Pepperoni Grill for a long time so my wife and I decided to have lunch there today. Nice atmosphere, the service was excellent and Diane W was right the bread is awesome! I had the turkey, bacon, and avocado sandwich which was great. My mother-in-law had the same along with the tomato basil soup which she said she liked a lot. My wife had a grilled chicken pasta salad which was just ok--she didn't really care for the dressing. Creme Brulee was dessert and it was a winner. It was nice to get reacquainted with this restaurant again. I'm sure we'll be back.

I took my family to pepperoni grill, it was the first time there, the food was like cafeteria food, and it was expensive, will not go back, service was poor too,

I so want to like this place, I actually enjoy eating here, but our visit last week was really bad. First we watched and experienced the waiter in our section mess up every single table in our area. He didn't write anything down and so proceeded to forget, bring the wrong dish etc. to every table. The lemon in my tea still had the sticker attached, making me wonder how thoroughly it was washed. it was sweet tea, not the unsweetened I ordered, so changing it out got rid of that lemon. The worst was the ROACH that crawled up the wall behind my husband and daughter while they were eating. The wall adjoining the kitchen. My daughter let out a yelp when I pointed it out and they got out of the booth to try and brush it off the wall. The waiter came over and apologized - but NOT the Manager? He said " the manager said to tell you we spray for roaches every week". I would think she could have at least stopped by. They gave us a free dessert for killing the roach - but we had lost our appetite.

This is my comfort spot. The food is always delicous, the bread is always out of the oven, and their ice tea is perfectly brewed. The only thing is every now and then the restaurant gets a little hot from the cooking. Best way to get there is to park on the West side of Penn Square Mall. The entrance is inside the mall, across from Pottery Barn Kids.

Food is overpriced, they add items that were never ordered, the waitstaff ignores you unless you ask loudly for their attention and they are infested with cockroaches who feel free to walk across your table. Overall, a horrible dining experience.

The cheese bread is good but the quality of food is inconsistent. It's better than the food court, but nothing to write home about.

Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Oklahoma City. This restaurant has delicious italian food. Just to clarify, i'm not italian food savvy so i wouldn't be able to determine whether this is "authentic" or not, i just think the food tastes great. I know a lot of people rate italian restaurants based on how authentic the food is, but i'd compare pepperoni grill to P.F. Chang's for chinese food... it's not like the real deal, but it's delectable regardless. I actually haven't eaten here since 2008, but i'll be back in okc for work in about a week and the first thing i thought of was pepperoni grill. i do remember the bread being really fresh and much better than any bread you'll get from other generic chains like olive garden or your local pizza place. the price is reasonable, $20-25 a person for your own entrees and an appetizer... more for drinks if you want, they do have a bar, but it's not stocked full of anything you can think of, just the regular stuff. i semi-reluctantly gave it four stars because of the service. i love the food, and the price is is good but the 4 or 5 times i ate there the servers were generally too busy talking to each other to do anything other then take my order and bring out my food. i remember getting out of my seat on more then one occasion to search for servers because they weren't even close enough to wave down. anyhow they always had a friendly manner and pleasant attitude, just not the best at doing their job. I will amend this post after my next trip since my experience was afterall from over two years ago.

I was hungry while shopping. No, I was starving. Waiting to eat was not an option. I needed sustenance, stat! I decided to try Pepperoni Grill. I was greeted quickly by both the host at the door and my server, Peter, at my table. I was brought some delicious bread and water abundant while I looked over the menu. I decided to have the margarita pizza, cause that is my stand-by pizza, and a glass of wine. I was surprised at how quickly my food was brought to my table. My drink (the water) was never empty. The wine was gone quickly. Peter was super friendly and efficient. I didn't love my pizza, as it was ... ordinary. When I went to the restroom, my to-go box was thrown out. I didn't say anything cause like I said, the pizza was pretty ordinary, and really there was no love lost. I'd give it another try though since I really liked the ambience and the service was pretty good.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
